About Me
I am a qualified Norland nanny based in North Somerset, currently available for babysitting and nannying up until the 5th May. When I will only be available on the weekends.
I have a warm, energetic and nurturing approach, and love creating fun, safe and engaging environments where children feel confident and supported. I am particularly passionate about getting children outdoors, encouraging active play and exploration, and supporting development through play.
My approach is influenced by Montessori principles and emotion coaching, helping children to develop independence, confidence and emotional awareness in a calm and supportive way. With a background in gymnastics and dance, I love incorporating movement, creativity and fun into my time with children.
I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and families, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease.
My Experience
I have extensive childcare experience across a range of settings, including residential nannying, international placements and Norland training with children from 4 months to school age.
I have worked as a sole charge nanny for children aged 4 and 6, both in the UK and internationally (including Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii and Italy). This role involved full responsibility for the children’s daily care, organising routines, activities and travel, and supporting the family through transitions such as relocating between countries, adapting to new schools and adjusting to different time zones. I have also undertaken proxy parenting for extended periods, independently managing all aspects of care.
Through my Norland placements, I have worked with babies, toddlers and young children, including supporting sleep routines, feeding, sensory play and early development. I have experience planning and adapting activities to suit individual interests and developmental stages, as well as supporting key transitions such as starting nursery or school.
I also have experience working with children with additional needs, including supporting communication, adapting my approach to meet individual needs and recognising non-verbal cues.
Alongside this, I have worked as a gymnastics instructor, delivering structured classes and supporting children’s physical development, coordination and confidence.
I am confident caring for multiple children, working across different age groups, and adapting quickly to new environments and family dynamics.
