My Experience

I have extensive professional childcare experience across sole-charge, shared-care, proxy-parenting, residential and international nannying roles, caring for children from newborn to 16 years old.

I currently work full-time for a private family in Bath while completing my NQN year. In this shared-care role, I support the daily care and development of a toddler, working closely with the parents to provide a consistent and responsive approach. My responsibilities include managing routines, preparing meals, arranging activities and outings, completing observations and developmental planning, and supporting communication, emotional regulation, physical development and emerging independence. I have also travelled throughout Europe with families, maintaining familiar routines and providing children with continuity and security while away from home.

Previously, I worked as a sole-charge residential nanny for two children over several years, beginning when they were 18 months and three years old and continuing as they grew into school age; they are now six and eight. This long-term role gave me extensive experience supporting children through the toddler, preschool and early school years, adapting my care as their routines, needs and interests developed. I cared for them in the UK and internationally, including in Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii and Italy, and supported the family through international travel, relocation, starting new schools and adjusting to different environments and time zones. I also undertook extended periods of proxy parenting, independently managing every aspect of the children’s care.

Through my Norland placements, I gained further experience with babies, toddlers and young children. This included supporting feeding and sleep routines, sensory and play-based learning, early development and transitions into nursery or school. I planned and adapted activities around each child’s interests, abilities and developmental stage.

I also have experience supporting children with additional needs. This has involved adapting activities and communication, recognising non-verbal cues and responding sensitively to each child’s individual strengths and needs.

Alongside my full-time nanny role, I coach children’s gymnastics every Sunday. I deliver structured, engaging classes that support physical development, coordination, confidence and independence, while safely managing groups of children with differing ages and abilities.

I am confident caring for multiple children, balancing the needs of different age groups and adapting quickly to new environments, routines and family dynamics. My combination of long-term nannying, international travel, Norland training and group teaching experience allows me to provide capable, flexible and genuinely individualised care.
