My name is Sophie, 33 years old. I have my own little one who is 16 months.
I want to be as transparent as I can be, I currently work Monday -Thursday 8am -4:30pm. Friday 8am-12pm. These hours are important to me as it allows me the morning and evenings with my son.
My Experience
I started my childcare journey in an after school club and holiday club working with children aged from 2-11 years. I did that for 3 years whilst I did my childcare qualification.
I then moved onto my first nursery where I stayed for a year. I worked in the 2-3 year old room. I have since worked in two private nurseries based in private schools, one for 7 years and my current nursery since August 23.
I’m looking to make a change in my career when I am made redundant in July (School closing down).
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 childcare qualification.
I’ve completed my paediatric first aid training valid for 3 years.
