About Me

I'm a warm, creative, and nurturing nanny with hands on experience supporting children of all ages. I have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives, whether that's through storytelling with silly voices, putting on living room performances, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence when they need it most.

I spent a year working with The Mungo Foundation in Glasgow, supporting vulnerable children with complex needs, where I developed strong skills in personal care, safeguarding, and adapting to each child's individual needs. I've also cared for younger children through Childcare.co.uk and regularly babysat for family friends' little ones aged 1-5, so I'm comfortable with the full range of childcare responsibilities.

I love getting creative, whether that's arts and crafts, baking together, or turning a rainy afternoon into an adventure. I did musical theatre and lots of plays growing up, so I'm always up for dressing up, singing, and putting on performances! I'm also great at getting outdoors, cooking yummy meals, and making homework feel fun rather than a chore.

I'm currently based in Clapham and looking for a full time nannying role where I can build a meaningful, long term relationship with a family. I'm available full time until January when I start my Primary Teaching degree, and I'd love to continue part time with the same family after that. I'm reliable, adaptable, and completely committed to providing the best care possible.

My Experience

I have hands on childcare experience across a range of ages and settings. Most recently, I worked for a year with The Mungo Foundation as a Relief Worker, supporting vulnerable children with complex needs. My responsibilities included providing full personal care, preparing meals, engaging children in fun and stimulating activities, helping with homework and bedtime routines, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. I also maintained records, liaised with social services, and followed safeguarding protocols, including first aid, medication administration, and managing challenging behaviours. Every situation was different depending on the child's needs, so I became really adaptable. My favourite parts were always reading stories with silly voices and creating fun activities to keep them engaged and happy.

During Covid, I cared for a 2 year old boy once a week for a few months, which I found through Childcare.co.uk. His parents wanted him to become more comfortable with other people as he was very attached to them, so I'd spend the day with him, cooking his lunch, taking him to the park, and helping him settle with someone new. It was lovely watching his confidence grow week by week.

I've also babysat regularly for family friends' children aged 1-5, so I have plenty of experience with the full range of personal care, nappy changes, mealtimes, and keeping little ones entertained. I'm comfortable with all aspects of childcare and always prioritise creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for every child in my care.

My Qualifications

I hold a Master of Arts with Honours in Social Policy and Sociology (2:1) from the University of Edinburgh, where I developed a strong understanding of child development, social issues, and supporting vulnerable populations.

I'm SSSC Registered (Scottish Social Services Council), which demonstrates my commitment to professional standards in social care and safeguarding. I also have A-Levels in Drama (A), English (B), and Psychology (B), which have given me valuable insights into child development and communication.

I'm set to begin my PGCE in Primary Teaching at the University of Cumbria's London campus in January 2026, which reflects my long-term commitment to working with children and education. I have training in first aid, medication administration, safeguarding protocols, and risk assessment procedures from my work with The Mungo Foundation.

My Availability

I'm available for full-time work during the week, with weekends generally free (though I'm happy to help out on some weekends if needed). I'm available full-time until January 2026, when I'll be starting my Primary Teaching degree at the University of Cumbria's London campus. Once I receive my timetable, I'd love to continue working part-time with the same family, fitting around my university schedule. I'm based in Clapham and ideally looking for something local where I can be a reliable and consistent presence.

My Fees

  • Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

I would hope to earn around £15 an hour for one child, £17 an hour for two, and around £20 an hour for three or more, though I’m always happy to chat and be flexible depending on the situation. Since I’m looking to do at least 25 hours a week, that normally works out between £380-£500 a week. For evenings or weekends I may ask a little extra, just because of the hours.
