About Me
Hi I'm Orla; I’m 21 years old and am currently studying a master’s degree in children’s nursing and social work.
I am looking for around 25-30 hours a week as a nanny, between June 20th and September 20th, while I am on a break from university.
Ideal for families who need childcare over the summer holidays.
I provide a safe environment and like to keep things fun, balanced, and engaging, with different activities to suit the day. I love being outdoors, so we will likely spend lots of time in parks and local farms etc.
On the rainy days, I love doing arts and crafts, cooking, baking, and can also help with early learning through play e.g. phonics, basic numeracy etc.
My Experience
I have around five years of childcare experience, including babysitting, full-time nannying, and live-in au pair roles, caring for children of various ages.
In 2023 I worked for 9 months in France, caring for a newborn, as a full time nanny. I focused on creating gentle routines, supporting early development, and maintaining a calm, secure environment.
In 2024, I worked in Australia, looking after two toddlers in a live-in role, managing busy daily routines and planning fun, engaging activities to support their development.
Most recently, I worked as a full-time nanny for a two-year-old, using play and Montessori-style approaches to support learning, including introducing phonics which helped them begin reading simple words by age 2.5.
I create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and build strong relationships with both children and families. References available upon request.
My Qualifications
Aside from academic qualifications including A-levels and an in progress masters degree in nursing and social work, I have pediatric first aid training and an enhanced DBS check.
My Availability
Weekdays for fulltime jobs.
Weekends and evenings for adhoc babysitting.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
These rates are baseline and subject to change in the case of multiple children, anti-social hours, extra tasks etc.
