Cristina
Nanny in Edinburgh (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Cristina.
I’m Spanish and I’ve been living in Scotland for the past five years. I recently moved to Edinburgh and I’m currently studying Art & Design.
I’m looking to move into childcare because it aligns much more closely with my values and the kind of work I enjoy. I believe in caring for children in a calm, respectful and creative way, and I love encouraging creativity through play, drawing and imaginative activities.
I hold a childcare course completed in Spain and I have experience caring for children in a family environment, as well as supporting vulnerable people through caring roles and volunteering with the Spanish Red Cross. While my work experience in the UK so far has been in hospitality as a room attendant, I’m now seeking a role that feels more meaningful and people-focused.
I don’t yet have UK childcare references, as I’m just starting in this field here, but I’m very happy to begin with paid trial sessions and build trust and references locally.
I’m a calm, patient and responsible person, and I take safeguarding and wellbeing seriously. I’m also available to speak Spanish with children if parents would like them to be exposed to another language in a natural way.
If you’re looking for someone kind, creative and reliable to care for your child in your home, I’d be very happy to hear from you.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children in a family environment in Spain. This included supporting daily routines, supervising play, preparing simple meals, and ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing in a calm and caring way.
I also completed a childcare course in Spain, where I gained knowledge about child development, basic care, routines and safeguarding.
Although I am new to childcare work in the UK and do not yet have UK childcare references, I am very motivated to build experience locally. I am happy to start with occasional babysitting and paid trial sessions, and I take responsibility and children’s wellbeing very seriously.
My Qualifications
I have completed a childcare course accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education. I also hold First Aid and Emergency Transport training through the Spanish Red Cross, and I am currently studying Art & Design.
