Part Time Nanny with Special Needs Experience Job in London Borough Of Croydon
My Requirements
Part-Time Nanny / Household Helper — Warm, Hands-On Family of Six
We’re a busy family with four wonderful girls (8, 6, 3 and 1) looking for a kind, capable and energetic part-time nanny to help our home run more smoothly. Both of us work from home full time, with our youngest home with us three days a week, so we need an extra pair of hands we can really rely on.
Who we’re looking for
Above all, we’d love someone with genuine SEN (special educational needs) experience. Our 3-year-old is currently being assessed for autism and ADHD, and she’s a joy, bright, spirited and full of energy. She regulates herself through movement: running, jumping, climbing and being outdoors as much as possible. The right person will understand sensory needs, feel confident supporting a child who needs lots of physical activity, and respond with patience, warmth and consistency rather than trying to slow her down. Experience with (or a real willingness to learn about) co-regulation, routine and neurodivergent children is essential.
What the role involves
• Caring for and engaging the children, with a particular focus on our 3-year-old’s needs and plenty of outdoor, active play
• Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
• General household help: tidying, cleaning and light housekeeping to keep our home calm and manageable
• Potentially taking the older girls to and from extracurricular activities (driver preferred)
• Working alongside us during the day in a calm, collaborative way, since we’re both home and working
What matters to us
Someone reliable, proactive and genuinely warm with children. You’ll be comfortable in a lively, full household and able to use your initiative. SEN experience, patience and a positive, flexible attitude are the most important things to us — far more than a long cv

Aunty Femi is currently our daughter’s childminder and she has made such a positive difference in not just hers but our lives too. She has taken time to understand her and set boundaries to help her excel. Our daughter is currently being assessed for autism/adhd and Aunty Femi is extremely experienced in getting the best out of her. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
