About Me
Hello there, I am a recent psychology graduate with aspirations to one day be a child Psychologist! I was born and raised in India but moved to the UK to pursue higher studies. I am taking some time out of education to gain more experience working with children before I move on to the next chapter of my educational journey. I have always loved working with children, I especially enjoy spending time outdoors as my best memories of my childhood were spent on the beach or in the forest!
My Experience
I have babysat children from the age of 5 months to 12 since the age of 15. I also spent a summer in Italy as an au pair in which I cared for 2 girls, one was 8 and the other 12. I have experience working in a children's centre as well, in which I worked with children with additional needs. We played a range of educational games, I gave movement through dance classes, and had ongoing one on one sessions throughout term time with multiple children in which we worked on their learning.
My Qualifications
I have worked at a children's centre with children of different educational abilities, where I gave sessions on movement and organised games etc.
I have babysat up to 5 different children at once from the ages of 5 months to 6.
While not qualified for it, I also thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking with children as it allows them to become more confident in the kitchen and often also gives them an opportunity to practice maths.
My Availability
Im very flexible and am also happy to do last minute babysitting for the most part as I know how hectic life can get! Im also always happy to do weekends as that allows time to get to do exciting activities with the kids :)
