Nanny
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Pay: £18-£21.00 per hour

We’re looking for a gentle, reliable and proactive nanny to become an important part of our family and help care for our wonderful five-year-old daughter.
This is a long-term employed position with a friendly family who are looking for someone to build a genuine relationship with our daughter while helping family life run smoothly.

Hours
The role is 3 to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), depending on the successful candidate's availability.. Additional hours during school holidays are available if desired but are not essential.
We are ideally looking for someone who can work one or two full days (8:00 am–5:30 pm), together with two to four afternoons (2:00 pm–5:30 pm). We are flexible on which days these are and are happy to shape the role around the right candidate where possible.

The Role
• School pick-up and after-school care.
• Taking our daughter to clubs and activities.
• Preparing the family's evening meal (or completing the majority of the preparation in advance, depending on agreement).
• Making productive use of school hours by completing agreed household and family support tasks, helping the family and home run smoothly.
• Occasional family errands.

A dedicated cleaner is employed, so this is not a housekeeping or cleaning role.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is kind, dependable and enjoys helping children thrive. Previous nanny or childcare experience is beneficial, although we’d also be delighted to hear from someone with less experience who is enthusiastic, keen to learn and looking to develop in a long-term role. We're particularly looking for someone who values a calm, low-stimulation environment and understands when to actively engage and when to give a child space for independent play and exploration.
A full UK driving licence and own car for transportation is essential (the school is walking distance so car is for after school activities, occasional errands). Paediatric First Aid and an Enhanced DBS certificate would be an advantage.
Business mileage will be reimbursed, and you'll be joining a family who genuinely value the person caring for our daughter.
