About Me

As a family, we are loving and nurturing. Our daughter is our absolute world, and trusting her safety, happiness, and care with someone else is a massive responsibility that we do not take lightly. We want to find someone who shares this view, who has a genuine care and passion for children, and who ultimately wants to feel like an extended part of our family and a trusted friend.
Our daughter is 5 years old and in KS1. She is kind, funny, bubbly, and soft-natured. She absolutely loves nature, imaginative play, stories, and arts and crafts. She is also very sensitive, has suspected neurodiversity, and experiences high rejection sensitivity. Because of this, she needs a nanny who is exceptionally gentle, patient, reassuring, and consistent in building a calm, secure bond with her.

We also have a lovely family dog who is an older girl. She is hypoallergenic (non-allergen), quiet, sweet, very obedient, and incredibly cuddly rather than highly playful. We want a bubbly, fun, and soft, sensitive soul who will genuinely enjoy diving into play with our daughter and who will appreciate the company of our gentle senior dog.

Perfect Fit For Parents (With Strict Caveat): We welcome applications from those looking for a role that fits around their own school run. Only for the right candidate, we would also welcome a Nanny Mum bringing her own younger child to work if it helps your family dynamics. However, as a strict condition, the candidate must remain fully present and provide continued, constant supervision for both children together throughout the entire shift.

My Requirements

After School Nanny

Main Duties:
(Childcare and Food Prep Only): Focused Childcare Delivery: Responsible for providing engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate childcare-related activity alongside high-quality care throughout the shift.

No Housework Required: Your focus remains entirely on delivering dedicated childcare and managing the afternoon routine.

School Pickup: Core hours start from 3pm to allow parking time - school pick up required at 3:20 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, and drive her home (approx. a short 2-mile drive) - and finishing time 5.30pm

Shared-Care Weeks: One week per month (Mon, Tue, Fri), you will collect a close family friend's daughter too (same age, same school) and care for both girls at our house. A Shared-Care Premium (paid as a flat overtime bonus) is applied to these specific shifts to acknowledge the dual responsibility.

Meal Preparation: Confidently prepare or heat evening meals for our daughter (Note: most meals will be pre-prepared by mum, cooking will only be required occasionally).

Dog Care: Feed our dog her evening meal and check her water bowl. As a preference (but not essential), we would love someone who is up for taking her for a short walk around the block with our daughter once a week.

Equipment Provided:
-We will provide two safe and reliable slim high-backed booster seats with Isofix points. These take up significantly less width in the vehicle than standard baby car seats, making it much easier to accommodate a third seat if needed.
-All food, children's utensils, and toys/craft materials are fully provided by us, so there is no need to bring anything along.

Requirements:
Non-Smoker (Strictly Essential): Due to the health of our family members, we have a strict zero-tolerance policy. We cannot consider any applicants who smoke, even outside of working hours.

Enhanced DBS Check (Strictly Essential): You must provide either your original printed certificate or your official digital DBS certificate (Child Workforce registry) at the interview. Phone screenshots or standard photos will not be accepted. If your certificate is registered on the online DBS Update Service, you must provide your details so we can run an immediate validity check. No candidate will be considered without verifiable proof of a clean DBS.

Vehicle Constraint: Must have your own safe, reliable car with insurance. If you plan to bring your own child, your vehicle must be physically spacious enough to safely and legally fit three child car seats in the vehicle to cover our monthly shared-pickup weeks.

Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Highly safeguarding-aware, trustworthy, and reliable.Well-versed, informed, and confident with neurodiversity / high sensitivity (Highly Preferable).

Confident with dogs is essential.

Excellent references required.

Paediatric First Aid training is required, HOWEVER, for the right candidate we would consider those without and cover course costs.

Ofsted registration is highly preferred (to use Tax-Free Childcare), but not essential.

Pay:
Ofsted Registered: £17.50 – £18.00/hr + overtime / shared care premium
Unregistered: £14.50 – £15.00/hr + overtime / premium
Plus: 45p per mile petrol allowance.
Note on Payroll: To keep things entirely straightforward and professional, all taxes, payslips, and pension requirements will be managed automatically on our behalf via a specialist nanny payroll service. There is zero administrative paperwork required from the candidate.
