About Me

Hey! I’m Mila I am 24and I am half Italian/Scottish. I grew up in the south side of Glasgow and attended St Ninians High School. I am a very outgoing and adventurous person, my interests include Travelling, Fashion and fitness. I am very big family person, I have two brothers and a sister which we are all so close and I have a massive family over in Italy which I visit every summer for a month! I worked for my father in our family business on/off for 7 years now in our Restaurants and now looking to do something different.

My Experience

I was lucky enough to travel and be an Au Pair/ Nanny in three countries. In 2015 I lived in Madrid, Spain for 3 months, my job was from Monday to Friday 7am until 8pm. I was looking after two boys ages 7 and 3 and a little girl aged 5. I would do the morning routine until school time from 7-9 am and would get everything ready before school, getting ready, having breakfast together, lunches put in bags and telling stories while walking to school. I would then be free until they finished at 4pm but in the mean time I would tidy up the mess from breakfast and make their beds! And just went round the house tidying up! When I would pick them up I would take them to the park so they can have a little run round or some days they would have after school activities too. Then we would head back home and while I was making dinner the kids would do their homework. We would then all have dinner together. After dinner we played a few games before it was time to get ready for bed, at this point the parents would be home so they would help me with bedtime. It was a great experience in Madrid.

I’m 2017 I was working as an Au Pair/ Nanny in Genova, Italy for 4 months. I was looking after two girls aged 3 and 8 . My Routine was very different as the parents worked more hours than the previous family I worked for in Madrid. To me it didn’t even feel like work it just felt as if I was part of the family as a big sister. The girls were great and helped me improve my Italian too! I would arrive in the morning and I would take them to school, ( the mother would get them ready and have breakfast with them ) and we would begin our beautiful walk to school, and I would then be free until they finished at 4pm. We would then go to a little cafe or gelato shop to get an after school treat and then head to the park. We would then arrive back home and we would play some games before I made dinner, I learned to cook so many different dishes living in Genova! We would then have dinner all together and then wound down usually the girls ( and the parents permission too ) would like to watch some cartoons before going to sleep, so we would do that and then I would read the girls a story ( the same one ) each night. When they finally drifted off to sleep I would then tidy everything up and by that point the parents would be back. I would work weekends too doing different activities or going to the Genova aquarium or library! It was a experience I will never forget as myself and the girls bonded so well.

The last experience I had worked as an Au Pair/ Nanny was in Frankfurt in Germany in 2018 for 6 months, I was looking after two little boys ages 1 and 4. This experience again was completely different compared to the previous two experiences I had. It was different at first as I had a baby who was home with me all day, except one day a week he would go to kindergarten. My routine would be having breakfast all together with the family and we would talk about what we have on our schedules that day, I would then take the little one to get a dressed and a nappy change before we would walk his brother to school. Once we would drop him off it depended on each day sometimes we would go to play group or go to the park or go back home and play, the time I was in Frankfurt was snow season so it Made it fun for the boys to play in snow! But was very cold so we usually would play at home! The baby would have his lunch and nap time in the afternoon and the time he woke up was the time we would have to go collect his brother from school. Then we would all come back home and the mother would
Be with the baby and I would help the older boy with his homework and English lessons too! Then we would all
Have dinner together and afterwards help with bath and bed time. I would work Monday - Friday and babysit Saturday evenings! It was a different experience but I enjoyed it so much.

I also worked with a family in Glasgow south side , the family I worked for was just before COVID happened in March 2020, I was just helping in mornings as I work for my dad from 11.30am So I would arrive at the family’s house at 7pm and make breakfast and help kids get ready for school and do school runs.
