About Me
Hi, I’m Ash!
My wife, Claire, and I are experienced childminders based near the centre of Basingstoke. We provide a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
We primarily offer childcare from Monday to Thursday, but we also provide overnight and weekend care, as well as school and home pickups across Basingstoke. With over 20 years of experience in childcare, I hold two degrees in Early Years and have worked as a nanny, teacher, nursery manager, and Cub Scout leader. Claire has 10 years of experience in early years education and also holds a degree in Childcare and Education.

My Experience
I have dedicated most of my life to childcare and currently work as a childminder in Kings Furlong, Basingstoke.
Over the years, I have taken on various roles, including being a Cub Scout Leader, nursery manager, nanny, foster carer, and childminder. I have worked with children from newborns to 16 years old, supporting a range of abilities and backgrounds.
I hold two degrees in Early Years, an NVQ in Childcare, and a paediatric first aid qualification. Alongside these, I have completed extensive CPD training to keep my skills up to date.
My wife, Claire, has 10 years of experience in early years education. She has worked as a nursery assistant and room supervisor before becoming a childminder. She also holds a degree in Childcare and Education and is passionate about supporting children's development.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour

2 Year old Funding
3-4 year old finding
£7.00 per hour at weekends or closed days

We honestly couldn’t be happier with the care Ash & Claire provide for our daughter. From the very beginning, they’ve created such a warm, safe, and nurturing environment that truly feels like a home away from home.
The level of personal care they give is exceptional – they take the time to understand her needs, her personality, and what makes her happy. It’s so reassuring knowing she’s not just being looked after, but genuinely cared for and valued as an individual.
What really sets them apart are the amazing experiences they give the children. From fun days out to creative activities, every day is filled with excitement, learning, and laughter. Our daughter always comes home full of stories, and it’s clear how much she enjoys her time with them.
Ash & Claire go above and beyond in every way, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found them. We couldn’t recommend them more highly to any parent looking for truly outstanding childcare.
