About Me

Hello! My name is Ioana and I am a qualified teacher and have over 20 years of experience working in childcare and education. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience caring for and supporting children, as well as working in management and managing nurseries. This has given me a strong understanding of children's development, learning, safeguarding and wellbeing.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I am highly motivated, loving and caring, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality childcare. I am also a proud mum to my three-year-old daughter, and I understand from both professional and personal perspective how important it is for children to feel safe, loved, understood and encouraged to develop their confidence.
I believe children learn best when they are having fun, exploring their interests and given opportunities to develop their independence. As a Montessori trained childcare professional, I incorporate Montessori principles into my practice, creating opportunities for children to learn through hands-on experiences, exploration and purposeful play. My Montessori inspired activities encourage children to develop independence, concentration, confidence, coordination and practical life skills. Children are encouraged to make choices, try things for themselves and learn at their own pace, with gentle guidance and support when needed.
My aim is to create an environment where children feel confident to explore, ask questions, make choices, try new things and celebrate their achievements.
I believe that clear, honest and open communication with parents is essential. I keep parents informed about their child's day through regular updates and photographs, sharing their experiences, achievements, interests and developmental progress. By building strong partnership with parents, we can work together to support each child's individual needs, development and wellbeing.
Children in my care will be provided with healthy, nutritious and balanced homemade meals and snacks to support their growth, development and overall wellbeing. I believe that good nutrition plays an important role in helping children grow, learn and thrive. I aim to encourage healthy eating habits from an early age by offering a variety of delicious, wholesome homemade foods in a positive and enjoyable environment.
With my professional experience, qualifications, Montessori training and genuine passion for childcare, I am committed to giving every child the individual attention, encouragement and care they deserve, while giving parents confidence and peace of mind that their little ones are in safe and caring hands.
