My Experience

i volunteered in a church crèche from 2012 - 2019 every Sunday for 2 hours. the ages of these children were 0-4 and the main responsibilities required were looking after the children, playing with them, planning arts and crafts and providing a small snack. Once i turned 16 i took a greater role and once one of the two main adults in charge

holiday club group leader from 2016-2019. i was in charge of a group of primary school children and was responsible for helping them with the club activities, taking them between activities and just being there for them in general and interacting with them

i was a girlguiding leader in a group of rainbows aged 5-7 from 2017-2019. in this role i had to plan activities for the girls to do each week from crafts to baking. I also had to plan trips for them and hosted sleepovers for the group in church halls. planning lessons and teaching them was also involved for example we did a lesson on reading and following maps

while i was in my last year of high school i was a pupil mentor in history and geography each week i would spend at least 2 of my free periods going into a class of younger pupils and helping in that class i would sometimes be given small groups of pupils to go over their work and help teach them about the subject
