Hi, I'm Ruth. I'm a warm, caring and reliable nanny who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and helping them feel happy, secure and confident. I enjoy getting children out and about, whether that's visiting parks, libraries and local activities, as well as planning creative activities, crafts and sensory play at home.
As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your child. I aim to provide the kind of care I would want for my own child – attentive, nurturing, fun and dependable. I'm happy to follow a family's existing routines and parenting preferences and believe good communication with parents is very important.
My Experience
I have practical childcare experience across both nursery and school settings, working with children of different ages and supporting their play, learning, routines and wellbeing. I have also run my own children's sensory and messy-play sessions for young children, where I planned and delivered age-appropriate creative and sensory activities and created a welcoming environment for children and their parents.
Alongside my professional experience, I am a mum and have many years of hands-on experience caring for a child through the different stages of childhood.
I'm confident planning activities, preparing simple meals and snacks, taking children to local activities and outings, supporting routines and providing attentive one-to-one care.
My Qualifications
My childcare experience has been gained through working directly with children in nursery and school environments, running children's sensory and play sessions, and through parenthood. I will also be beginning a part-time Bachelor of Laws in September 2026.
My Availability
I am currently looking for a regular part-time nanny position, ideally Monday to Friday during school hours, approximately 9am–3pm. I may have some flexibility depending on the family's requirements, so please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
I’m happy to discuss rates privately with families based on their individual childcare needs and the hours required.
