Nanny in Shepperton (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I’m a university graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a background in Criminology, and I’ve recently returned from an exciting year in Canada. My adventure took me from a sunny summer working at a children’s holiday camp in Minden, just north of Toronto, to a snowy winter completing a ski season on Mount Washington on Vancouver Island.
I’m calm, enthusiastic, and naturally friendly, with a caring and protective nature that helps children feel safe, supported, and happy. I’m reliable and dependable, and I genuinely love creating a healthy, fun, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. I’m especially passionate about encouraging confidence, curiosity, and watching little ones grow and develop at their own pace.
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience caring for children from newborn through to school age and I genuinely love supporting children as they grow, learn and build their confidence and independence.
I spent five years nannying for a family in Esher, caring for their two children - their son from birth and their daughter from nursery age. During this time, I was closely involved in their everyday routines and important milestones. From supporting feeding and sleep routines with their newborn son to school runs, imaginative play and homework support with their older daughter. I enjoyed supporting them through every stage of their development.
I also have additional newborn experience from my time working as a Maternity Assistant at Kingston Hospital where I cared for newborn babies and supported new mums with feeding, settling and general postnatal care. This role helped me develop a calm, reassuring approach and a strong understanding of a baby’s needs during those precious early weeks and months.
Alongside this, I’ve worked in fun and energetic childcare settings including Barracudas Activity Day Camp where I assisted with structured activities, crafts, sports and games as well as working as the pool lifeguard during swimming sessions to ensure children felt safe, confident and happy. I also worked at Onondaga Camp in Canada which strengthened my experience in outdoor play, teamwork and keeping children engaged in active yet safe environments.
In a nanny role, I’m more than happy to support daily routines including preparing healthy meals, feeding, school and nursery drop?offs, homework and home schooling, bath time and bedtime routines. I love planning days that offer a lovely balance of creative play, outdoor adventures, learning and calm, quiet moments, always following each child’s individual needs and a family’s wishes.
I’m calm, caring and reliable with a naturally nurturing and protective approach.
I always aim to create a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children feel secure, supported and excited to learn.
