About Me

>Hello, I’m Ruby<
32, DBS checked, first aid trained. I’ve just returned from a year in Western Australia working as a Studio Educator in a Reggio-inspired nursery. My role was bringing children into the studio daily to work with clay, natural dyes, wire, light, mud and other open-ended materials. The focus was “the 100 languages of children” — creating spaces where kids can explore, express ideas, and play.

>Experience<
- Nursery + Nanny roles: UK and abroad, ages 5 months to 10 years, including 1:1 care.
- SEN experience: Worked in a specialist secondary school supporting students with autism, ADHD, and complex needs, plus behaviour that challenges
- Additional needs adults: Supported adults with learning disabilities in daily living + creative activities
- Cleaning and housekeeping experience

>Qualifications<
- Level 3 Early Years Educator (2017)
- Fine Art Top-Up Degree
- Creative Art Therapy foundation Degree

>Approach<
- I plan with the child, not for the child. Expect lots of outdoor time, nature walks, messy art, cooking, and activities that build confidence and independence

>About me<
I’m friendly, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I’m outdoorsy in any weather and love riding my bike. When I’m inside I love making art, sewing and cooking. I focus on clear communication, routines, and making sure children feel safe while having fun.
