About Me

Hello, I'm Alice!
I'm currently away from York as I'm doing my teacher training at Uni of Cambridge. Whilst I'm here, I am offering online tutoring. I've had lots of University sessions recently about inspiring a love for learning and how to support children's learning so have lots of ideas for tutoring!
When tutoring or working with children generally, I focus on building confidence and self-esteem in them. I individualise learning tasks to fit the child's interests thus boosting enthusiasm and engagement. I monitor progress and adapt to fit the child's needs, whilst working within a general timeline to reach the main goals set by myself, you, and your child.
I'm a Psychology graduate with lots of experience working with children and young people in a variety of settings. I enjoy building relationships with children/young people and being able to provide them with enriching experiences :)
I aim to be as inclusive as possible - happy to discuss any additional needs!

My Experience

I've gained extensive experience working with children aged 4-18 years, especially with children with autism and ADHD. I've worked in a special school and mainstream primary schools. In the past, I volunteered at children's clubs like Brownies.
I am a qualified tutor with the National Tutor Programme and have completed safeguarding and wellbeing training. I have received positive feedback from past tutees.

Currently studying for a PGCE at Cambridge
BSc: 1st in Psychology - specialising in Developmental Disorders, Developmental Psychology, and Educational Psychology.
A-Level: 5 As
GCSE: 3A*s (including English), 8As (including Maths)
