I work for the NHS in a busy and demanding role and although I often work from home, some days require longer hours at the hospital. My schedule can vary, so having someone reliable to help in the afternoons and evenings is really appreciated.
Our home is relaxed and friendly — occasionally a little chaotic in a normal family way! My ex-partner (and my child’s father) lives with us but isn’t always available, so I’m looking for some extra weekday evening support. We’d love someone easygoing who feels comfortable in a laid-back atmosphere and doesn’t mind the occasional chat.
My Requirements
I'm looking for a warm, reliable, and easygoing babysitter to spend time with my friendly and inquisitive 5-year-old after school while I wrap up work from home. The hours would be after school into the early evening and the occasional weekend.
The role is fairly relaxed and mainly involves:
Keeping her company and engaged with simple, age-appropriate activities
Encouraging creative, screen-free play (crafts, reading, games, imaginative play, etc.)
Occasionally offering a snack or prepared meal (no housework or cooking expected)
Creating a calm, positive environment
I’ll be home and available if needed — we’re just looking for an extra pair of hands to help make the afternoons run smoothly.
