My Experience

I have worked at Explore Learning, a tutoring centre for children aged 5-14. I have also tutored children aged 7-11 for 11+ exams with XL Education: I led sessions, teaching groups of up to 15 students in a classroom. For three years, I worked for Funtastic Kids, a holiday camp for children aged 3-11, as a playworker running arts and crafts activities. At this company, I also worked as a 1:1 SEN support worker for a non-verbal 3 year old child with ASD. I have volunteered at a local primary school and at a local library by helping children with the summer reading challenge. I have been privately tutoring primary and secondary school students in English Literature/Language for the past four years. I have done ad-hoc evening babysitting for many families, been a nanny for a primary school aged child while their parent was working during the summer holidays and worked as a member of a support team for a couple that foster SEN children. I have done ad-hoc work at local nurseries, working with children aged 1-5. I now work full time at a secondary school as a 1:1 SEN GCSE tutor to support students who struggle in classroom settings due to having extra needs such as ASD, ADHD, PDA, anxiety disorders and dyslexia.

My Qualifications

11 GCSEs - seven 9s (A**s), three 8s (A*s) and one 7 (A)
A* in Film Studies A Level, A in English A Level and A in Sociology A Level
1st Class Degree in English and Film from the University of Exeter
Grade 5 in Piano

My Availability

I am currently available after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on the weekends. I will finish my full time job on the 22nd of July, after which I will be available anytime as it will be the summer holidays.
