About Me
Hello, my name is Julie.
I am based near West Ewell station and am an experienced childcare professional, with over 30 years of experience caring for children. I was an Ofsted Registered Childminder for 29 years, providing a warm and nurturing home environment for over 60 children and their families. During that time I consistently achieved Good Ofsted inspection grades. I have experience caring for children of all ages, from babies and toddlers through to school-aged children.
For the past five years I have been working as a Nanny, supporting families in their homes. I have completed my Ofsted pre-registration visit and am now just waiting for my certificate so I can begin welcoming children into my setting. I am very excited to return to childminding, as I love providing childcare in a home-based setting where children can feel safe, relaxed and valued.
I aim to create a calm, caring and stimulating environment where children feel comfortable, safe and valued. My approach is relaxed and child-led, allowing children to explore their interests while developing confidence and independence.
I offer a small, home-based setting where children receive plenty of individual attention and can learn and develop at their own pace. We will also spend plenty of time out and about in the local community, visiting parks, libraries and toddler groups as well as enjoying nature and fresh air. These outings give children opportunities to socialise, explore and learn about the world around them.
I believe children learn best through play, curiosity and real-life experiences, while feeling supported and secure.
With over 30 years of experience, parents value the reassurance of leaving their children with someone who is calm, dependable and highly experienced. Having cared for families for nearly three decades, I bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and reassurance to the children and parents I support. I am calm, patient, organised and nurturing and I build strong relationships with both children and parents, so that we can work together to support each child's development and wellbeing.
One of the greatest joys of my career is that I am still in contact with many of the children I cared for over the years. It is wonderful hearing about their achievements and the paths they are taking in life, sharing in their success and supporting them through any challenges they may have. They often reminisce about the activities we did together and the fun times we shared, usually starting with the words "Julie, do you remember when ...".
The children in my care enjoy cosy story time on the sofa, as well as fun activities such as arts and crafts, puzzles, games, singing. Older school-aged children can be supported with homework after school, with encouragement to try independently while knowing help is there if needed. Younger children will be supported with reading, letter sounds and early learning through play.
I have three grown-up, independent children of my own, so I understand family life and the importance of providing reliable, loving childcare.

Julie is an incredible nanny in all areas. We have been so lucky to have her help since our little boy was 7 months old. She is extremely calm, patient , professional and reliable.
She has bundles of experience and it shows in the way she cares for our little boy. He absolutely adores her. His face lights up with joy every time she walks through the door.
She knows just what to do when he is upset and has been helping him reach his milestones through play and support. He has come on leaps and bounds since having Julie in his life!
I feel Julie has not only cared for our little boy but for me as well. Being new to motherhood I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and understanding nanny. She has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions.
We loved having her and Indie (her lovely golden retriever) in our home - they both slotted right in to our family immediately.
All in all we couldn’t recommend Julie enough. We only wish that our personal circumstances would allow for us to keep her with us - snap her up whilst you can!

We often refer to Julie as our very own Mary Poppins as the kids love her, she’s an excellent cook and she’s totally on the ball of everything, I’m going to be at a loss without her quite frankly. She is calm, kind and has a wonderful temperament with the kids so they really listen to her and love her to bits. Our kids love doing all the crafty and baking bits with her, but she also did reading every day, taught them lots of new games and activities, got them on country walks and many more creative activities. She is very sociable and confident, and so slotted in seamlessly with the mums and other nannies at the school gate which was a great help to me to stay connected via her as a working mother myself. I also appreciated that she set up play dates proactively and always went above and beyond for what the kids needed. She overall really cares and loves the kids, and that’s the best we could ask for in a nanny. She meal planned for us for family dinners, sorted all the packed lunches, uniforms and took the kids to their clubs. Her lasagna and roasts are the best! Basically I’m just very jealous of the next family that gets to have her in their life!

Julie looked after my 3 year old and 10 month old and she was simply wonderful! Julie is a natural with children and knows how to keep children of all ages engaged as well as feel loved and secure. My 3 year old absolutely dotted on his ‘aunty Junie’ and would impatiently wait for her to arrive as it meant a day full of fun. Fun aside, Julie was also able to instil discipline and set boundaries in the clam but firm way. Julie is also a fantastic cook and made fresh and well balanced meals that both the children loved! Sadly, our circumstances changed and therefore this employment came to an end but if I was still working, we would definitely have Julie with us.
I would without any hesitation recommend Julie..

Julie childminded for my 2 children from babies - toddler/3 years. She quickly bonded with them and had a lovely, calm, home from home environment. We were very confident leaving our children in her excellent care which was extremely reassuring when going back to work. Julie has a wealth of knowledge and experience and provided lots of opportunities for learning and outdoor experiences. She is very organised, reliable and creative and goes beyond expectations. Julie is very creative and often made lovely, sentimental Christmas decorations which we admire every year! We can’t recommend her enough and the children still talk of their days with her fondly.

Julie was our childminder for over 5 years and looked after both my very active boys in this time. The boys absolutely loved being with Julie, every day was different but with the right balance of activity and down time. Activities were varied and included crafts, walking her dogs, attending playgroups or even trips to a local farm. The boys formed strong relationships with Julie and the other children in her care and we were very sad when they started school and our time with her came to an end. I can honestly say Julie went above and beyond for us, if ever I had to work late she would be flexible to keep the boys without issue, she was also very supportive with issues pertaining to our family, for example my youngest was due to have an assessment for his school entry, part of this, at only 3 years old was to be able to write his name and count to twenty, Julie spent time doing this but never such that it felt like a chore to my child. Julie is extremely creative in play and experiences and the children would bring her wonderful homemade pieces of art. Julie is diligent in her knowledge and understanding of OFSTED requirements and kept me informed of my child's development steps with pictures and booklets. Fabulous, I would not hesitate to recommend.

Julie looked after our little boy for over two years, unitl he was ready to attend school. She is excellent with children. Julie opened her home to our little boy, encouraged his development and provided him with love and support. She arranged days out, took him to childrens groups and provided beautifully cooked meals. Quite honestly we couldn't have asked for more. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Julie, her experience looking after children is second to none.

Julie was a childminder to my two children over a period of 14+ years; full-time from the ages of six and three months and wraparound care once they started primary school. My son even continued to visit Julie after school once he started High School.
Julie is an outstanding childcare provider who my children(now 19 and 16) still consider to be part of their extended family.
Julie is kind, caring, empathetic, experienced, reliable and respectful. We did not trust anyone else to look after our children when they were small(as our families do not live close).
