About Me
We are a family of 3 living in Bishopstoke. Our son is 4.5yrs old and is autistic. We are in need of after school nanny/carer for him 5 days a week
My Requirements
We need an after school carer/nanny for our son. He is 4.5 and is autistic. He is nonverbal and uses PECs to make simple choices. He can have behaviour that is challenging and has no awareness of danger, so he requires high supervision. He attends a SEN school. He wears nappies.
Both of us have professional careers and so to be able to work effectively. We need someone to work from 3:30-5:30 5 days a week to meet him from school transport, support Spencer to play safely at home, prepare his (very beige) dinner, supervise him, and potentially change his nappy should he need this.
This position will ideally start from September 2024. However, we would like an adjustment period where you would get to know Spencer and learn how to care for him solo.
We would also have the opportunity for extra hours on weekends and school holidays with Spencer's current carer to get out in the community 2:1.
You need to be a patient & calm person as Spencer's behaviour can be challenging at times.
SEN Experience is essential, Autism experience would be helpful.
