About Me
My name is Jonie (pronounced Joanie).
After 2 years with a childminding agency, I am now registered directly with OFSTED Since September 2023. I have always had a strong desire and passion for early years and am looking forward to helping to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, welcoming, and warm, child-friendly environment that is always safe and happy and to ensure your little ones learn through play and help develop their social and emotional needs as well as their personal development to become the best little people they can be.
I am the proud mummy to a little girl who was premature (born 12 weeks early!) and a little boy of my own. I can not wait for them to grow and develop with your little ones and become life long friends!
Being the parent of a preemie baby has given me the understanding of how nerve wrecking it is to have to leave your baby and also taught me how to look after babies and children with complex medical needs. This is my inspiration for opening my setting as I can sympathise with parents going back to work as I felt the exact same way after I had my baby and had to return to work.
I get huge satisfaction seeing babies and children develop and it is so heart warming knowing I had an input in that and to know I can make a difference to a childs life.
I have a good routine set out with a high standard of care and training. Set on the Early Years Foundation Stage, I plan lots of fun and educational activities set to keep them excited and learning. Spending our time singing, dancing and reading stories as well as Tuff tray fun, messy play, paint, sand and more!
I enjoy trips to parks, libraries, soft plays, children's centres, feeding the ducks etc. The outdoors is such an important part of the early years physical and mental development, this is why it’s always included in our daily routine when the weather lets us.
I am fully Covid Vaccinated and will take all responsible steps to ensure I am Covid safe.

My Experience
I babysat my nieces and nephews from a young age and looked after them from birth upwards. Being a mum to a premature baby I have experience with NG tubes, complex feeding needs and very small and fragile babies. Childminding since 2020 but what I lack in experience, I make up for in understanding, sympathy, enthusiasm and passion to be the best role model for your children.
My Qualifications
OFSTED Registered childminder, childminding training, Ofsted Enhanced DBS, Ofsted paediatric first aid for life, Food hygiene training, FGM and Safeguarding/child protection training.
My Availability
