About Me
My name is Abbey and I would like to welcome you to Sweet Briar Day Care.
Since opening in March 2022 we have been very busy! We quickly became fully booked, with current parents extending hours and booking more days, once they got a feel for what Sweet Briar Day Care is all about!
Since our eldest arrived in January 2021, I have been working hard on building a setting that is safe, fun and nurturing in every way possible! Having worked in so many different roles and with so many families, I understand what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look after your little ones. My setting (my home) is a home away from home for your little ones, where nurture and happiness come first.
The environment I have created is fun filled and rich with stimulating resources, an excellent place for your child's curiosity to be ignited. This, along with careful planning based around the children's needs, interest and other fun topics, makes this the perfect place for children to flourish as little learners.
We regularly go out on trips to places like the forest, parks, nature reserves and sometimes zoos and farms. I am forest school trained and love taking the littlies for adventures in the woods, often coming back with lovely creations they are super proud of!
I have recently closed my doors to have my second child, he is now three months old (born July 2023). We are now looking for a new cohort of friends to play and learn with from July 2024.
The children in my first cohort were all of the same age as my eldest and have remained close friends with her. I work hard to create an environment that nurtures bonds and friendships between all who attend - this has been proven by the fact that we continue to meet for play dates and keep in touch.
We love having people come and visit us to see what we are all about - so come and see our amazing home from home setting, for yourself.
My places would most suit children who will be between 11 and 18 months old in July 2024 as this is the age group of some of the children already booked in to attend.

I am open Monday - Thursday 8am- 6pm.
I am generally closed bank holidays and over the Christmas holidays; however if I am free, I may be able to offer childcare on these days (see rates for more information on this).
I currently have availability on most days from July 2024 onwards.

Christmas holidays (subject to availability) are £6.25 per hour.
Bank Holidays (subject to availability) are £6.75 per hour.
Term time only contracts £6.25 per hour
