About Me
Dear Parents,
My name is Louise Tarpey, and I’ve dedicated over 20 years to supporting children through both classroom teaching and personal, one-to-one care. I began my career as a primary school teacher in Greenwich before taking on roles with MOD Schools in diverse communities across London, Brunei, Cyprus, and Belgium. These experiences not only deepened my understanding of early childhood development but taught me how to remain adaptable, steady, and responsive.
Since returning to the UK, I’ve worked with two wonderful families in full-time, sole-charge nanny roles. My current position in Blackheath, involves caring for a 9 month old baby and his 4 yrs. old sister. Our days are full of fun and purpose, sensory play, stories, craft, outdoor exploration, and calm routines tailored to each child’s stage.
I also organise weekly group outings with fellow nannies and their little ones, giving the children a lovely sense of belonging and social confidence from an early age.
I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors and regularly plan Forest School-inspired activities that encourage curiosity and connection with nature.
