Looking For A Nanny For 14M Old In Hackney E8 (4 Days / Week)

My name is Lisa and I’m looking for a nanny starting end of April / early May.
We are a warm, professional family with young children. Both parents work in professional roles, with one parent working from home. We are an international family and value kindness, reliability, and a calm, respectful approach to childcare. We’re looking to build a long-term, positive relationship with the right nanny. We’re happy to provide references from previous nannies and babysitters.
My Requirements
Start: Early May 2026 | 9:00am–6:00pm
We’re looking for a warm, experienced, and reliable nanny to care for our little boy Felix, starting May 2026. Felix will be 14 months old at the start date.
This is a Monday–Thursday role, 9:00am–6:00pm, based in Hackney. There is also the option of additional evening work a few times per week (approx. 6:00–8:00pm) if you are available.
About you:
- Proven formal experience caring for young children (not just within your own family)
- DBS checked
- Paediatric First Aid trained
- Excellent references from previous families
- Non-smoker
- Right to work in the UK
- Fluent in English
- Additional languages ( for example German, Mandarin) a plus
- Confident, calm, and genuinely enjoys working with toddlers
- Reliable, organised, and happy to take initiative
- Familiarity with local playgroups, parks, and activities in Hackney is a bonus but not essential
The role will include:
- Care of Felix in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, and play
- Supporting Felix’s development through routine, play, and interaction
- School pick-up for our older daughter a few times a week
- Preparing simple, healthy meals/snacks for the children
- Light child-related housekeeping only (e.g. tidying play areas, children’s laundry)
