Fantastic nanny in every way!

Alaine is a dedicated, experienced and hard-working nanny, who excels at what she does. She is unfailingly punctual and organised, and combines a very deep and wide-ranging childcare experience with genuine warmth and affection.

The highest compliment we can pay Alaine is that there was no time where we felt a moment’s concern about leaving our daughter with her. No matter what the situation, whether our daughter was unwell or whether her and Alaine were taking one of the many day trips organised by Alaine, we were always confident that our daughter would be cared for to the highest standards. In our experience with Alaine, she always put her interests first.

Our daughter a was 12 months’ old when Alaine joined us, in November 2021, at a time when the pandemic was still current. During her time with us, we were forced to move house on 4 (!) occasions, and there were multiple instances of our daughter being ill, or other domestic emergencies arising. Alaine was unfailingly a reliable and trustworthy source of strength and consistency during these times. We honestly do not know how we would have managed without her. She went above and beyond the call of duty on multiple occasions and did so ensuring that the impact on our daughter was minimal.

Our daughter really loves Alaine. It is clear that our daughter trusts her, feels comfortable with her and is close to her. It is clear to us as parents that Alaine always looks after her beautifully, with the utmost respect and fun! She also loves Alaine’s cooking, so much so that the phrase “Alaine’s muffins!” is one we often hear.

Alaine is a very active person. She used her own experience in sports, especially swimming, to great effect with our daughter. The two went swimming together each week, and when there some delay to our daughter's gross motor skills, Alaine was absolutely superb at helping her overcome these. Indeed, the physiotherapist who treated our daughter made a point of informing us that Alaine was “the best nanny she could hope for” and really understood human movement and what our daughter’s needs were. We would also regularly receive complimentary reports about Alaine and her interaction with our daughter from parents who saw them at baby classes, for example.

During Alaine’s employment with us from November 2021 to April 2023, our daughter reached several important milestones. Alaine, with her experience, was able to guide us through these, and was always on hand to provide useful and knowledgeable advice. Our daughter became a very verbal child, speaking in full sentences at an early age. We believe that is in considerable part due to Alaine’s influence on her, and the way in which she spoke to her, read to her, joked with her and played with her.

Alaine is also a very kind and warm person. Over the time we employed her, she became a member of our family. We will be extremely sad to see her leave and hope to remain in contact with her in the future. We wish to assure you that you can hire Alaine and be confident that you are hiring an experienced, efficient, punctual, kind and charming nanny, who will look after your child with the utmost professionalism and warmth.
