About Me
I am a Social Work student and single mother looking for childcare support for my autistic daughter, Michaela. I am looking for someone patient, reliable, understanding, and experienced or comfortable supporting children with additional needs. Michaela is loving, intelligent, and thrives best in a calm and supportive environment. Building trust and consistency is very important to us.
My Requirements
We live in a two bed end terrace house. I am looking for childcare support for my daughter during my university placements. This would mainly be Monday–Friday during school term time only. I require support before and after school, starting from approximately 6:30am. Michaela starts school at 8:40am and the school is around a 10-minute walk from our home.
After-school collection would be at 3:15pm, with childcare needed until approximately 7pm. Michaela is mostly independent, however she may require some support with tasks such as dressing, bathing, and feeding (unless eating finger foods).
I am looking for someone patient, reliable, understanding, and comfortable supporting a neurodivergent child within a calm and supportive environment.
Please note that our childcare needs may change slightly in the future as we are currently awaiting a specialist placement for Michaela. If this is approved, transport would collect and drop her off from home, so school runs may no longer be necessary.
