About Me
Hello my name is Sarah and I have been childminding for many years now. I like to offer Home from Home childcare for children of all ages, welcoming them into our warm, friendly family home.
I am married to Mark and have four children. Only my youngest is of school age and currently goes to TGGS studying for her A levels.
We live in Abbotskerswell just outside Newton Abbot in a lovely thatched cottage with a big garden. We share our house with three very friendly Golden Retriever dogs and five Burmese cats who love being part of a busy life. My house is a clean and happy home, full of accessible toys, books and creative materials to make children feel comfortable and stimulated. I provide a safe, relaxed environment with just enough structure in the day to make the children feel secure and confident. I love my work, making children feel comfortable and happy is what I'm good at. My garden is also very well equipped with all kinds of toys and equipment to help your child develop, grow and be happy. I love the outdoors so spend a lot of time out walking, going to the beach, trips to the park, moors, zoo and other local attractions or just playing at home in the garden.
I also love cooking so make cakes, biscuits and other treats with the children in my care.
My Experience
Children are my life and I really enjoy all aspects of my work in childcare, I have endless patience and understanding and have had lots of experience with children of all ages and abilities. I have been Ofsted inspected and renewed my paediatric first aid qualification. I have also just completed Level 3 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare. I accept the 30 hours FREE funding for 3 and 4 year olds and 2 year old FREE funding and tax free childcare. I am also available to take key workers children during COVID 19.

My youngest daughter has been going to Sarah 2 or 3 days a week for just over a year and she absolutely loves her time there. She is so happy with sarah and not once has she not wanted to go. it's just so nice to be able to leave her in the mornings and know that she is happy and is well taken care of so I don't need to spend my day worrying. Sarah has been so helpful and made are hectic lives easier and I highly recommend her!!!
Overall
Both of my children have been going to Sarah for nearly 5 years now and they absolutely love it. I work 3 days a week and its so nice to be able to drop the children off in the morning and not have to give them a second thought as i know they are being well looked after. Often when i turn up to collect them once they see me they have that very disappointed look on their faces as if to say 'oh no we have to go home now' and in the mornings they can't get through the door quick enough. They are always busy doing lots of different things including walking, baking, trips to the zoo, days on the beach and much more. Sarah has a beautiful home and a wonderful garden which the children can use all year round with tractors, bikes, sandpits, slides and a trampoline perfect for my son as he loves being out in the garden racing around on the bikes :)
Sarah is everything and more that you could want in a childminder. A big 5 star for me. xx
