My Experience

I have professional experience working with children and young people in both a residential care setting and a nursery, supporting a wide range of ages and needs. These roles have helped me develop strong skills in communication, patience, and understanding each child’s individual personality and needs.

In my nursery experience, I supported younger children with play-based learning, daily routines, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment. I’m confident with tasks such as feeding, changing, supervising play, and helping with nap times, while ensuring children feel comfortable and cared for.

In my current role within children’s services, I support young people with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. I am experienced in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and positive way, using de-escalation techniques and building trusting relationships.

Across both roles, I support with daily routines such as preparing meals, encouraging personal care, organising activities, and helping with bedtime routines. I always prioritise safeguarding and ensure children are safe, supported, and listened to at all times.

Through my experience, I’ve learned how important consistency, kindness, and clear boundaries are when caring for children, and I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for every child.

My Qualifications

I have all my GCSE’s including maths and English.
I have a full DBS.

My Availability

Currently, I work in a Children’s home. My current rota is 1 day on, 2 days off. I am available for childcare on my 2 days off!

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
