My Requirements

At the moment, our two older children attend nursery and usually finish around 6pm. We’re mainly looking for help in the evenings, roughly from around 5/6pm until about 8pm (with some flexibility on both sides). Initially, we’re thinking around two evenings per week, plus the occasional weekend, but we’re open to adjusting this as we figure out what works best for everyone.

In terms of what we’d need help with, this would include preparing and feeding meals for the children, bottle-feeding our youngest in the evenings, as well as helping with nappies and potty routines. More generally, we’d love someone who enjoys spending time with children and keeping them engaged — whether that’s playing, reading, colouring, or just helping them stay happily occupied. We have plenty of toys, books, and an open-plan space, as well as a garden, so there’s lots to work with — it’s really about creating a fun, relaxed environment for them.

This arrangement would be until September. From then on, our eldest will be starting school and our youngest will begin nursery, so we’ll likely be looking for slightly longer hours (approximately 3pm–8pm).

As this is our first time arranging regular childcare support, we’d love to use the next few months to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone — not just for us as parents, but also for our children and for you.
