About Me
I'm Michelle; the friendly face behind Mimi's Childminding - an Ofsted registered childminding service in Bolton-le-sands.
I decided to embark on a career change from teaching to minding whilst on maternity leave in 2021.
My ethos at Mimi’s Childminding is – first and foremost – based around the children feeling happy, loved and valued. One of the key ways that I aim to achieve this is through designing a curriculum that is based around your child’s interests and next steps. To complement this, we visit a different place outside of the setting every day (such as the beach, canal, library, playgroup, or other local places of interest), as well as enjoy and learn from a range of organised activities and free play within our playroom and extensive garden.
My Experience
I am registered with Ofsted and have completed all of the necessary checks and training they require (such as DBS checks). I have undertaken relevant training in the following areas; Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Food Allergens, Childminding Pre-Registration Workshop, I am also a qualified teacher and subscribed to Lancashire County Council’s Childminder Membership for continuous development and other updates within the sector. I'm also a Mum and Step Mum to two young girls, which has given me plenty of hands-on experience!
