Hello!
My name is Annika, I am 26 years old and I love to laugh. I might appear shy and introverted at first but with the right people that will change very quickly. I love travelling and have done so as much as possible in the past few years. I especially enjoy meeting new people on my travels and learning about different customs and cultures along the way. While I do enjoy going to a bar or a pub with some friends, I often prefer a quiet stay at home watching a movie or curling up with a good book, eating any kind of chocolate I can possibly get my hands on. I adore all animals with four legs or less - especially cats.
My family used to be a rather small one, with me being the only child until 2014, when my first cousin was born. After her followed 6 more cousins and my little brother, who turned 9 last November - so we are 16 nearly 17 years apart. My little brother is my favourite person in this world and I am afraid I spoil him dreadfully.
My mother tongue is German, but I have been studying English since I was six and while I wouldn´t say I was completely fluent I think my English is acceptable. I studied Chinese for 1 year at the Beijing Union University in China and hope to continue my studies as soon as possible since this language has truly captured my heart.
I am currently living in the UK under the pre-settled status but will hopefully be able to apply for the settled status soon.

My Experience
I have some experience in child care, primarily with babies and toddlers.
I took care of two children, aged 2 & 8, during my first AuPair stay in Torquay, England (45 hrs/week)
And again two children, aged 4 and 1 in China (25hrs/week) .
My third time as an AuPair was with an amazing family in London, again with two kids, aged 3 and <1 (35hrs/week).
Plus occasionally helping out another family with a 1 ½ year old girl.
At the moment I'm working with a lovely 12 year old in Notting Hill.
Of course I would also often babysit my little brother and cousins in the past.
Preparing milk, changing nappies, helping with homework, teaching English or German and getting rid of any kind of "happy accidents", I have done it all :)
My Qualifications
4 years working as an AuPair, with kids between the ages of 6 months and 8 years, 2 years working as a Nanny for one 10-12 year old
