About Me
I’m a working mum of two lovely boys, aged 6 and 2, based in North Down. I work in education alongside running my own business and am looking for a small number of warm, reliable and capable people to help with childcare and family life.
We are a busy, friendly household and I’m keen to build a consistent and trusted network of support around the boys. I’m looking for people who are dependable, capable and proactive, and who genuinely enjoy spending time with children.
My Requirements
I’m currently looking for 2–3 people to cover different aspects of our childcare, so you do not need to be available for all of the hours below. I’m very happy to hear from someone who can reliably cover one particular part of the week.
My youngest is 2 and has some additional health needs. No medical or nursing background is required, but anyone caring for him would need to be capable, responsible and confident, and willing to undertake any relevant training required.
The main areas of support I’m looking for are:
* Early morning/home support: approximately 6:00–9:00am on weekdays, helping with breakfast, getting ready for the day and school drop-off.
* Daytime home childcare: approximately 8:00am–4:30pm on selected weekdays, primarily caring for my 2-year-old. I’d like this to be active, engaging childcare — getting out to toddler groups, library sessions, the play park and other age-appropriate activities, as well as play, learning and stimulation at home. School pick-up for my 6-year-old would also form part of some days.
* Evening support: approximately 6:00–9:00pm on some evenings, helping with the children, dinner and the evening/bedtime routine.
* Saturday mornings: approximately 6:30–10:30am.
* Sunday/weekend support: some additional flexible hours, to be agreed.
The majority of the daytime childcare would be for my 2-year-old, although there would be occasional times when you would care for both my 2 and 6-year-old together, so I’m looking for someone comfortable and confident managing two children.
There may also be opportunities for additional babysitting, school/nursery runs and occasional travel with our family.
I’m not looking for one person to cover everything. I’m very happy to consider someone who is interested in just one element — for example, regular early mornings/school runs, daytime childcare, or evening/weekend support. I’m ultimately looking to build a small, reliable team of people who get to know the boys well and can become a consistent part of our family routine.

We’ve only just started with Alexia, but she’s been brilliant! She clicked with the two boys straight away, is confident and capable, and has a lovely balance of being caring but also firm when needed. The kids really like her, and I feel very comfortable leaving them in her care.
