I offer experienced, compassionate and practical support to families during the early weeks and months of parenthood, alongside flexible, short-term childcare.
As a Registered Children's Nurse with over 12 years' neonatal nursing experience, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a qualified NNEB nursery nurse, I bring together extensive clinical knowledge and over 30 years' experience caring for babies and children.
I understand that bringing a new baby home can be wonderful but also overwhelming, particularly following a difficult birth, neonatal admission or when feeding isn't going quite as expected.
My aim is to provide calm, reassuring and practical support, helping parents feel confident caring for their baby while also giving them some much-needed time to rest.

ADDITIONAL NEWBORN EXPERIENCE
• Babies born prematurely or requiring neonatal care
• Supporting families following discharge from neonatal units

• Babies with additional care or feeding needs
• Helping parents build confidence caring for their newborn
FLEXIBLE CHILDCARE
Alongside my specialist newborn services, I also offer:
• Short-term and ad-hoc nanny care

• Occasional support for families needing an experienced extra pair of hands
I am a mother of two grown-up children and understand first-hand how valuable practical, reliable support can be.
I hold appropriate nanny insurance, business car insurance and an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service.
AVAILABILITY
I primarily offer flexible daytime support during the week, with bookings arranged around my existing commitments as a Lactation Consultant.
I am not seeking permanent or long-term nanny positions.

My Experience
I have over 30 years' experience caring for babies and children, from newborns through to teenagers, including twins and multiples.
I originally qualified as an NNEB nursery nurse before becoming a Registered Children's Nurse in 2013.
For over 12 years, I have worked in neonatal nursing, caring for premature, unwell and vulnerable newborn babies, including those with complex medical and feeding needs.
My neonatal experience has given me extensive knowledge of newborn behaviour, feeding, development and the challenges families can face when bringing their babies home.
I am also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), providing independent, individualised feeding support to families in their own homes.
Through my private practice, I regularly support parents with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, expressing, feeding difficulties and building confidence in caring for their babies.
Alongside my clinical experience, I have worked extensively with families and children in private childcare settings, including temporary nanny care and wedding and event childcare.
I take a warm, gentle and practical approach, adapting my support to the individual needs and preferences of each family.

• NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing
• Graduate Certificate in Acute Clinical Practice (Neonatal)
• Newborn Life Support training
• International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) Certified Infant Massage Instructor
• Enhanced DBS – registered
My Availability
I offer flexible, short-term and ad-hoc support, primarily during weekday daytime hours.
This may include a few hours of newborn or postnatal support, feeding assistance, temporary childcare or occasional daytime bookings over several weeks.
I am happy to discuss individual requirements and tailor my support to suit your family.
Please note that I am not available for permanent nanny positions, live-in maternity nursing or regular overnight care.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
Fees vary depending on the type of support required.
Ad-hoc and temporary childcare:
From £20 per hour
Specialist newborn and postnatal support:
From £25 per hour
Twins, multiples and additional care needs:
Fees discussed individually.
Wedding and event childcare:
Quoted individually depending on requirements.
Specialist breastfeeding and infant feeding consultations are available separately at my established IBCLC consultation rates.
A minimum booking of two hours applies to hourly childcare and postnatal support services. These services are charged in whole-hour increments.
Travel charges may apply depending on location.

Cathy is a passionate, reliable, punctual, yet flexible professional with very good communication skills and a wealth of experience. We required temporary night nursing for our 6 months old premature baby. Her approach to our baby was reassuring, and our baby was feeding and sleeping well with her, it is fair to say that her contribution has helped to establish a more workable night routine for us. She has given breastfeeding advice to us as she has specialised in that area. I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable nanny for day and night.

Cathy has been helping look after my 7 and 5 year girls for a couple of months now. She has been really good with them since day 1. I have peace of mind going to work and coming back home knowing that the my girls have been well looked after. The amount of knowledge and skills set she has goes beyond Nannying and Babysitting duties. We are very lucky to have her as a Nanny for our girls.
