Nanny in East Sheen (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Emma. I’m an NNEB qualified British nanny with 30 years’ experience, Ofsted registered, first?aid trained, and DBS checked.
I pride myself on helping children develop confident communication from an early age — I’m always singing, chatting and narrating the day so little ones feel secure, engaged and encouraged to speak.
My current role is caring for two children (5 and 2). Due to the youngest starting nursery in September 2026, the hours are changing, so I’m now exploring new opportunities.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

My Experience
I have 30 years’ experience caring for children from birth to 10 years, including twins and job?share roles. I’m also a mum myself to an 11?year?old, which adds a real understanding of family life and children’s needs.
My Qualifications
The NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) qualification is a two?year intensive Diploma in Nursery Nursing that combines academic study with hands?on childcare placements. It covers child development, early?years education, health, safety, play, and practical care from birth to five. The NNEB is now recognised as equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, and is widely respected as a solid, traditional childcare qualification.

Emma has worked for my family since April in sole charge of my daughter (who is now 20 months) following my return to work after maternity leave. Sadly, due to a change of circumstances, we will no longer need a nanny as from March / April time and we will be incredibly sad to see Emma go.
Our daughter adores Emma and her 4 year old son who often comes to work with her and is very sweet natured and tolerant of our daughter! It has worked so well with Emma's son coming to our house and I am sure it has contributed to my daughter's development (in terms of walking, speech etc) as she has tried to keep up with an older child.
Emma is very caring, gentle and wonderful with children. As a rather neurotic first time mum who was very anxious about going back to work and leaving my daughter in someone else's care, I was so relieved to find Emma (after having interviewed many, many nannies) who I knew I could trust from the outset. I am sure this is partly due to her extensive nannying experience and the fact that she is a mother herself. She is 100% reliable and very flexible whenever I have needed her to start early or stay late. She is a great cook and is always trying out new recipes for my daughter.
I couldn't recommend her more highly - any family would be lucky to have her!
