About Me
I'm a busy mum to 6-year-old Rosa, 4-year-old Luca and 2-year-old baby Arlo. My husband and I are both journalists with jobs that sometimes involve working long hours or travelling at short notice.
We're looking for a person to join us in the village that's needed to raise happy and healthy children. Our ideal person is loving toward the children, patient, and also ready to take on some domestic tasks related to the children's care - including helping with the children's laundry, fold and put away the children's clothes, and help prepare some meals for the kids. We're searching for a responsible adult who really understands that a key part of nannying this is and is willing to really support me as I juggle being the best mum I can be with a busy career.
My Requirements
We're looking for someone who can work least three half days a week (possibly four), and one evening per week. Must have a car and be able to do school pick-ups.
- The core hours are 1.30am to 5.30pm, likely Monday - Weds (but could be flexible with the days).
- One evening babysitting per week (likely Weds)
- I work Saturdays until 1pm and we may need help on this day sometimes.
- Flexibility to help more, working longer hours when I travel for work (once week every couple of months on average)
Tasks including, picking up children from school or childminder, preparing snacks, playing with them, reading books to the children, putting on children's laundry, tidying their bedrooms (often with them/helping them with their tasks), cooking children meals and leaving the kitchen tidy. (We would never as you to clean the house generally or take on general domestic tasks, but we do need help with the children's care.)

Mads is absolutely everything a parent could wish for. She’s kind and fun and responsible and endlessly patient. She helped care for my 2.5 year old daughter, just at a time when we were all dealing with having just moved countries and the arrival of a new baby - so a very busy and stressful time! She has a calm presence and gently but firmly leads children. She manages to get them to do everything they need to, on time, and does so while keeping the atmosphere light and calm. She’s completely trustworthy and responsible. My daughter loved her from the first day, as do my husband and I!
