About Me

I help parents give their children the skills, confidence and focus to succeed — in the classroom and for exams and interviews.

If your child is preparing for the 11+ you want them to walk into the exam feeling ready.
Or if GCSEs are approaching and their results don't yet reflect the grades they aspire to, you need someone who understands the system and can provide them with the support they need to succeed.

All children learn differently and one way doesn’t suit all. Your child may be struggling even though you can see how hard they work for every mark. My approach gets to the root cause of whatever is holding your child back, whether that's a gap in understanding, the way they process information or a dip in confidence. I then tutor them in the way their mind works best, so they can reach their true potential.

I'm known for my relaxed, informal tutoring style. Children feel at ease, their confidence grows, and lessons become something they look forward to. Many rediscover their love of learning, even in subjects they find challenging but need for their exams. Every session builds real progress, and your child leaves knowing what they've learned and why it works.

Primary level and homeschooling
I tutor primary English, Maths, Biology, History and Art. I also specialise in supporting homeschooling families, drawing on both my own personal experience and my work as a tutor, with structured programmes that keep your child progressing with confidence.
Support at every stage

Study skills — helping students organise their learning, revise effectively and use their time well in the exam

Calm, confident exam performance — as a qualified stress management therapist, I teach students practical techniques to manage exam stress, settle nerves and perform at their best on the day.

Special educational needs — specialist support for dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and other information processing difficulties, building skills and self-belief step by step.
Standardised assessments — as part of my work as a developmental psychologist and tutoring consultant, I carry out standardised assessments of your child's strengths and areas for development. A short report shows how your child compares with the national average for their age, and I use the results to tailor tutoring to their specific needs, personality and the way they process information.

Frequently asked questions

When should my child start 11+ preparation?
Year 5 is the ideal time. It gives your child a full year to build skills steadily and arrive at the exam feeling ready.

Do you prepare children for both private school and grammar school 11+?
Yes. I prepare children for the entrance exams of leading London and local private schools, and for grammar school 11+ exams.

Can you help my child prepare for their school interview?
Yes. I coach children to present themselves confidently, answer questions clearly and show their personality at its best. I also prepare older students for university interviews.

Can you help a child with dyslexia, ADHD or other learning differences?
Yes. I adapt every session to how your child processes information, building their skills and their belief in themselves together.

What is the standardised assessment, and does my child need one?
It's a professional assessment (comprising English Comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, writing - plus maths if needed) showing how your child compares with others of the same age, with a short written report. It's especially useful if you suspect a learning difference or want a clear starting point. It's offered separately or as part of the initial assessment for devising a tutoring plan.

Do you support homeschooling families?
Yes, it's one of my specialisms. I tutor across primary English, Maths, Biology, History and Art, and can help you plan a structured programme.

Where do sessions take place?
