My Experience
Hello parents & carers! I’m Nancy, I’m 28 years old and have extensive experience in working with and looking after babies and children. Including twins and multiple children. I moved up to Bristol in March ‘22 and have recently found work as a nanny for a lovely family.
I am currently NOT LOOKING for full time work. My availability is specified below, early morning, evening and overnight babysitting.
Some of the roles I have done over the years include nanny, au pair, senior teaching assistant, senior respite carer and nursery nurse. I am trained in attachment, holistic behaviour management and emotional support. I am trustworthy, efficient and friendly. I have a plethora of experience in working with special needs and children of all ages. I’m confident in preparing healthy meals, fun activities and bedtime routines. I’m level 3 trained, have a DBS certificate and have also completed a care certificate this year which includes a first aid refresher and safeguarding training. I am also trained in medication administration including Buccal (epilepsy medication) and peg feeding. I am comfortable looking after multiple children. Nancy has the natural ability to bond with kids really well. As soon as she came in she was on her knees playing and chatting with my daughter (1) and son (3). They were instantly drawn to her and loved being in her company, it was as if they had known her for years. Nancy was hired as an emergency babysitter to cover childcare during a day me and my partner were working. We were gone for 13 hours and during that time she played with them, took them out, fed them, put them down for naps and bedtimes while keeping the house tidy and keeping us updated. My youngest is usually breast fed and refuses to take bottle, is very clingy to me and has been known to cry for babysitters for hours yet Nancy got her smiling, eating and sleeping with such ease I was completely blown away. Amazing babysitter, I would recommend in a heartbeat.
