Laura
Nanny in Stourbridge (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I have worked in childcare since 2014 in various different roles including as a private Nanny for a number of families and in different styles of nursery settings.
I am passionate about child led play and I enjoy spending time with children in my care out in nature exploring all the beauty that the outdoors has to offer. I also love bringing the outdoors in and getting crafty using natural and foraged resources.
As a nanny I find best to be based at the child’s own home where they are comfortable in their surroundings. In addition to childcare being the main duty I am more than willing to help out with some light house duties and cooking during nap times.
I understand that post covid lots more people work from home and so I am also confident to be out of the house all day should this be something you would prefer.
I’m happy to take children to group activities and interact with other child-carers/parents at playgroups, libraries etc.
I am a parent myself and I understand that finding the best possible care during the Early Years is crucial to most families. I’m hoping to find a new family to work with locally. I live with my husband, our two children and we also have a cat named Astrid.
I am a lover of animals and comfortable around pets.
In my spare time I enjoy a healthy active lifestyle and love to walk outdoors, swim, spend time in the woods, going to the gym when I can and cooking fresh healthy food. I have recently rediscovered my love of dance and joined an adult ballet and tap class.
I love nature, being outdoors in all weather, anything crafty, musicals, messy play, cooking and old people.
I can also be available for babysitting.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for the past 12 years with families as a private Nanny and also in different styles of nursery settings.
I have also had many other childcare roles including working for a mobile crèche company and hosting childcare at alternative events such as weddings and festivals.
Ive worked in summer camps in America and South Africa.
I currently work part time in an Early Years setting and I truly enjoy working in the large groups (up to 20 toddlers a day on busy days) and I love working alongside team members of all ages. I do also like to work alone at my own pace and so doing each of the jobs I love part time works perfect for me.
