About Me
I am a businesswoman who works beyond full-time. My husband also works full-time. We both enjoy being indoors as much as travelling and exploring new places.
My Requirements
We are open to Au-pairs getting in touch!!
We are looking for help part-time currently for a shorter term with scope for extension.
Is it possible to find someone willing to work as a freelancer/self-employed vs being on the payroll due to changes around Mum's work type.
We have a 3 year old boy. Current requirements are part-time, before and after school - we need someone who drives and has their own car. We are flexible on how an individual prefers to schedule the other tasks as long as it is pre-discussed.
About our family:
We are family of 3, mum and dad have full-time jobs and travelling involved. Overnight stays are rare but happens occasionally. Mum's got health issues and needs help navigating around kid/work schedules and house chores.
Few pointers below for child's routine:
- Early morning help with kid - potty, brushing teeth, bath/shower, put on a home vest
- Downstairs for breakfast, play time, get dressed in school uniform based on the timetable for school nursery
- Drop-off at nursery
- Pick-up from nursery, small snack in the car or immediately once stopped at the park/home.
- Outdoor play at the park or garden, food etc till one of the two parents are free from work to take handover.
Few pointers below for mother's help/housekeeping:
- shopping for the week and organising online shopping as well
- help with full house cleans - split around roomwise or task wise as required, loading/unloading dishwasher, organising kitchen, washing up, laundry and ironing in-house, arranging clothes back in place, tidying up toys, vacuum, mopping, changing bin and cleaning windows, etc
- arranging books and toys all around the house and encouraging lots of reading and enacting the scene with imaginary toys.
- reorganising cupboards and toys. Decluttering but also saving necessary items for future kids
- setting up activities and games for the kid to keep him physically active and avoid screen-time.
- help with cooking meals suitable for the family and kid - especially to introduce him to healthy eating around veggies, fruits, eggs, fish and chicken. We are trying to change his habits to not having candies, chocolates, ice-cream and juice in between meals as it is interfering with his meal proportions. On special occasions, treats that would be fine.
- help with setting boundaries around toys, buying new toys and creating interest and creative ideas for using existing ones in different ways, appreciating what is there vs demanding new toys all the time.
- help with understanding and navigating emotions with the kid. He builds something amazing and crushes it down being silly/angry/upset sometimes.
- help with resolving conflicts with child and strategies of how to encourage good manners for life.
- taking him to classes - swimming etc
- help with organising birthday parties, decorations, catering etc for the kid's or the families other occasions with guests.
Also, requesting to prioritise our family for more hours of care as required during holidays. Not generally required but it might be useful to accompany us on certain holidays which can be discussed.
Drop a message if you are willing to have a chat and see where this goes.
