My Requirements

We are looking for a reliable, organised and friendly Family Assistant / Housekeeper to join our busy family home and help keep everything running smoothly.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, organised and welcoming home, and who enjoys being part of a family environment.

Hours-

Ideally one full day per week or two shorter days across the week. Thursday would be one of our preference days if for two shorter days but I am happy to consider any days.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Main Responsibilities-

Household Cleaning & Maintenance
General household cleaning, including bathrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuuming and mopping.
Keeping the home consistently clean, tidy and organised.
Changing and making all beds, including washing bedding when required.
Maintaining household supplies and noticing when items need replacing.
Helping with occasional deeper organisation tasks.
Laundry & Organisation
Managing children’s laundry from washing through to folding and putting away.
Washing and organising children’s bedding.
Light ironing (primarily children’s clothing).
Keeping children’s wardrobes organised, including sorting clothes as they grow.
Organising cupboards, fridge and pantry areas.
Helping with general decluttering and keeping the household organised.

Family Support-

Our children are at school during term time, so the role is primarily focused on housekeeping and supporting the running of the home.
However, it would be a huge bonus if the right person would be happy to provide some childcare during school holidays on some Thursdays and Fridays, or occasionally take on additional hours when needed. This is not essential, and we are very happy to hear from someone looking for a housekeeping-focused role.

About Our Home-

We are a busy family home with children, a Golden Retriever and a kitten, so it is important that applicants are comfortable with pets being part of everyday family life.
We are looking for someone who is happy working in a home with animals and who enjoys a warm, family atmosphere.

About You-

We are looking for someone who is:
Trustworthy, dependable and reliable.
Organised with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and able to work independently.
Happy to use initiative and notice what needs doing.
Comfortable working around children and pets.
Experienced in housekeeping, childcare or family support (preferred but not essential).
