About Me
Hi, I have worked in childcare for 20 years. I have been a registered childminder for 11 years. I am currently based in Kingsteignton and have been for 9 years (before that in Shaldon) but over the summer 2023 we are relocating to Paignton and will be taking on new Paignton based clients from Sep 23.
I trained at the Norland College, receiving a distinction and gaining a DCE qualification (Diploma in Childcare and Education) and have since worked with children of all ages from 0 to 14. Norland College is now based in Bath but has been located near Newbury and London in the past. It has been running for 130 years and is a specialist childcare college offering the best childcare training possible.
I am a mum of three, boy (DOB 2014), girl (DOB 2016) and boy (DOB 2023)
I run Bishopsteignton baby and toddler group on a Wed morning which we also attend as a group.
I am a Squirrel Scout leader in Bishopsteignton.
My Experience
I am a Registered Childminder based in Paignton. I have worked at Bishopsteignton Preschool as a supervisor. I have previously worked at Trinity Lodge Nursery, Teignmouth and Nippers Childcare Centre, Paignton. I also worked as a nanny for a local family with 3 children for 5 years.
I have run my own childminding business for 10 years. I employ an assistant, Katrina my sister in law, who is also fully trained and experienced and we work closely together.
We both have paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and hold DBS checks.
My Qualifications
DCE - Diploma in childcare and education (level 3 equivalent)
Norland Diploma - accreditation of Norland training.
Regular first aid training (up dated every 3 years)
Regular safeguarding training (up dated every 3 years)
DBS
Regular and ongoing professional development training to keep up to date.
My Availability
I work 8am - 6pm Mon - Thu. I offer term time only and some all year round spaces. I take 4 weeks holiday a year within school holidays. Extended hours may be available at an extra out of hours cost if you need a longer day or earlier start time. I do not work Fridays.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge by the hour, to the nearest half hour. I can be flexible on times to a degree.
