Hello Mummies and Daddies,
My name is Yasmin Begum; I am a loving, fun, energetic, responsible, professional and a well-organized person with a calm nature. Having worked as a childminder assistant for many years prior to becoming a childminder.
I know first hand how important it is to have someone you trust completely in looking after your child/children. I am a mother to three beautiful daughters age 1 year old, 5years old and 7 and I know as a mother how important it is in finding the right childcare for your child, and how important it is in choosing the right person to look after your child/children, not only making sure that they are safe and happy, but also making sure they are inspired to unfold their true potential on daily basis.
I know how difficult it can be to choose the right Childcare for your child. The perfect environment for a child's development is of massive importance and I intend to offer a premium but friendly service.
I am proud to offer the most affordable all-inclusive childcare in our local area. I am fully qualified to a high standard and work to provide an extremely high standard of childcare.
I will like to emphasise how much I look forward to working with you and your child. I hope to be able to help your child with the best of my abilities to get the best qualities out of your child because we all know that every child has something special and they are unique in their own special way.
I’d like to think I am more than just a childminder as I do this role more due to my passion than a need to work. I go over and beyond making the child/children in my care my number one priority.
I have a warm and welcoming home, filled with lots of toys and love, and is designed around children's needs. I am committed to working in partnership with parents and acknowledge that parents are the experts on their own children.
My Experience
I have a decade of experience as a childminder assistant, collaborating with my mother, Shakira Ahmed, who was also a childminder in Walthamstow. Transitioning to full-time motherhood for my three children, I embarked on the journey to become a childminder myself. Now registered, I possess extensive experience caring for children of all ages. Following a brief maternity leave, I have resumed my role as a full-time childminder and currently have limited space available.

Our daughter has just come to the end of almost 9 months with Yasmin and we highly recommend her warm, safe and homely environment for any family seeking a childminder for their baby.
Our daughter joined at 14 months old, and as a BF baby with no experience of childcare, it was a challenging change for us all but Yasmin's supportive approach to a long settling in period for us was brilliant. We also had challenges with our daughter napping but Yasmin worked with us to follow a plan to ensure consistency at home and at hers, meaning Freya eventually started doing 2 hour naps - unheard of at home! Our daughter now loves going every morning, it's going to be a bitter sweet end to this year.
She has developed so much in terms of independence, play, movement and speech, she isn't the same baby as when she started, all supported by Peek & Plays hands-on approach.
Yasmin's childcare assistant, Naureen also provides wonderful supportive care for all the children at the setting and Freya speaks about her often when she is at home.
The setting is clean and has a big variety of activities for children of different ages (baby to toddler) to enjoy, as well as a very child friendly garden space for getting outside.

Our one year old son attended Yasmin’s for two months and we are so happy with the experience. It was the first time we left him at childcare, as I had to go back to work, and knowing he was at Yasmin’s put me completely at ease as I knew he was being cared for so wonderfully in a happy and positive environment. Both Yasmin and Noreen are so kind, friendly and warm, which is reflected in how happy all the babies seem at the setting. I would definitely recommend to friends and anyone looking for childcare in Walthamstow.

I cannot recommend Noreen highly enough. She has been absolutely wonderful with my son. He grew attached to her warm and gentle nature, and every morning he would light up with the biggest smile as soon as she opened the door, excited to start his day. Noreen is incredibly kind, patient, and nurturing, creating a calm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and loved. It’s clear she genuinely cares and takes pride in her role.
On occasions when the setting was closed, Yasmin was able to help me out with childcare, and I am very grateful for the support they have both given me.
I am thankful for the love and care Noreen and Yasmin have shown my son.

Our daugher has been going to Yasmin's since she was 7 months old - she is almost 2 now. It is difficult do describe just how happy we are with Yasmin's setting but I will try.
Our daughter loves going to Yasmin's so much that sometimes telling her she's going is the only way we can convince her to get dressed. This is a testament to how comfortable she feels there, and how much excellent care she gets from that setting. Yasmin provides thoghtful education while also being kind and loving. She caters to our daughter's needs, making sure she is well fed and is very patient with her napping needs.
In her time there, our daughter has learned a lot. In addition to learning to share space, toys and attention with other toddlers and babies, she is learning her ABCs and to counting - and we know it all comes from Yasmin because we do not speak English at home and our daughter has no siblings. Relatedly, Yasmin has also been extremely accommodating with the fact that our daughter speaks (or is learning to speak) three different languages - and that her setting is the main setting where she learns English. We really appreciate Yasmin's open attitude to celebrating and including different cultural heritages in the context of her setting.
Overall, I think that any child would be extremely lucky to be in Yasmin's care.

Our daughter had a wonderful year with Yasmin and Noreen. She was always happy going in at drop off, enjoyed her time both inside and out in the garden, and ate tasty home cooked food.
Yasmin was very understanding and always supported us through our changing schedules and needs. Both Yasmin and Noreen and approachable, warm and kind people who we were happy to have care for our little one.

Yasmin and Noreen were fantastic with our little girl, at the start my daughter had seperation anxiety and struggled being away from me or my partner but Yasmin and Noreen were amazing with her (and reassuring us!). Within a short period of time my daughter was all smiles and excitement when we arrived to Yasmin's house in the morning. Every time we collected our daughter she was happy as anything. I would highly recommend Yasmin she has been nothing short of amazing.

Yasmin and Noreen are very kind and caring childminders. Our daughter settled in very quickly as they are so warm and create a fun and stimulating environment. Since she has been there she started learning phrases and getting used to toddling about. It’s lovely seeing her reach out to them whenever we arrive. We always have a good catch up on picking our daughter up, it’s nice to have such a personal experience for us too!

Yasmin has been such an amazing childminder for our daughter. She has a lovely setting filled with warm, fun energy that our daughter loved and settled into straight away. We are so grateful for the wonderful care Yasmin has given to our child. Their warm and friendly home environment made every day enjoyable, and we always felt reassured knowing our little one was in such kind and capable hands. We are so grateful to have found Yasmin and her sister as childminders for our 2-year-old, who has been with them since November 2024. From the start, Yasmin has been warm, caring, and incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand our daughter and her culture.
One of the things we love most is the variety of activities she offers. Our child enjoys plenty of creative play, with lots of arts and crafts that encourage imagination and fine motor skills. Yasmin always comes up with new and exciting projects, keeping the children engaged and learning through play.
Outdoor time is also a big part of the day, which we really appreciate. The children spend plenty of time outside in her garden.
We have seen our child thrive in Yasmin’s care and are very happy.
