About Me
My name is Karina Pearce, an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Chelston, Torquay. I provide a warm, home-from-home setting where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore. I plan a balance of child-led play and gentle routines, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor time, crafts, stories, music and messy play. I support children’s learning and development through play, following the EYFS, and I share regular updates with parents so we can work together to meet each child’s needs.
My Experience
I’m a newly registered childminder. While I’m new to childminding as a registered provider, I bring valuable experience caring for children through parenting 4 children and being nursery assistant work when young. I’m passionate about creating a safe, happy, home-from-home environment where children feel confident and supported. I follow the EYFS and provide a balance of child-led play and planned activities, including stories, arts and crafts, sensory play and outdoor adventures. I understand how important it is for parents to feel reassured, so I offer clear routines, a calm setting, and regular updates about your child’s day. I’m committed to ongoing training and professional development to make sure I provide high-quality care that meets each child’s individual needs.
