About Me
Hi! I am Sara, the owner of Smiles Childminding. I am an ofsted registered childminder in Taunton, with great connections to the M5. I have many years of child care experience, working in a nursery for 13 years as well as baby sitting experience and having 3 of my own children, now aged 12,10 and 7. I live with my 3 beautiful children as well as my husband and our cat bobbie. I love to bake and cook, as well as spend time outside, so these are activities that will play a big part of the childcare that I provide, as well as local walks, trips to the soft play and local toddler groups.
I have a great deal of SEN experience, as well as safeguarding experience through many years of working and managing a nursery. I have a full, clear driving licence.
I am passionate about childcare as this is something I have done my entire life. I love being able to spend my days looking after the children, watching and helping them grow, as well as building strong relationships with the families that i work with, so we can work together for the best interests of the children. As a parent you are the key carer in your child's life so I build my care on the child's interests and needs and develop this. I offer 2 hours worth of settling sessions for free to help you and your child feel happy and safe. I can offer a home from home setting, with plenty of indoor and out door activities to explore! My Experience
I have been working in child care for 13 years, progressing from bank staff right up to deputy manager of a setting, including acting manager for 3 months. Before this i was a baby sitter for 7 years, so I have many many years of child care experience. I also have 3 children of my own, now aged 12, 10 and 7. I have been childminding for 2 years now. I have experience with safeguarding, special educational needs and behaviour issues within children.

I am open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7.45-5.45, Tuesday 7.45-3.00 and Friday 7.45-1.00.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5.20 per hour. Flexi hours can be booked (if available) this is charged at £5.40
I accept 2, 3 and 4 year funding.

My 2yo has been cared for by Sara for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it. He squeals with excitement when we pull into the road and happily hurries to the door to meet her. Sara is fantastic at what she does and provides a fun, nurturing environment for play and learning. She is both approachable and flexible where possible. It's so lovely to get the photo diary of what he does at each visit. I'm so pleased we found her and I know my son is too.
