About Me
At Alice's House, we are enthusiastic, loving and nurturing practitioners who pride ourselves on offering an environment full of creative learning opportunities.
Each morning we take local trips to parks, woods, playgrounds, soft play, libraries, children's play groups, music sessions and the city farm and zoo.
The afternoons are spent learning through play and exploration in a spacious classroom and garden. The children are free to flow inside or out and we encourage play in ALL weathers.
My Experience
With over 30yrs experience working with young children and their families, I have enjoyed working as a Nanny, running a primary school Nursery setting for over 25yrs and latterly I have enjoyed the role of childminder.
Every child is unique and I like to offer activities and experiences that support every style of learning. Working closely with families is a privilege and is achieved through daily conversations, regular observations and sending children's files homes.
I also send home a weekly video, 'Peek at our Week', which gives families the opportunity to see what we have been enjoying at Alice's House.

Our daughter was with Alice from 6month to 3 years. Her development was incredible. We felt so happy and secure that our baby was there 4 days a week and she was always to excited to arrive at Alice's House where the facilities are brilliant and they're days out in the woods looked like so much. I'll keep recommending Alice to everyone I know and everyone I meet!

We feel so lucky to have found Alice. Her setting is really home from home! Alice has created such a warm, welcoming space where our son feels safe, happy and is truly cared for.
Each day is filled with fun, learning, and creativity, whether it’s crafts or stories in the purpose built ‘class room’, outdoor play, or adventures in the woods/local parks there’s always something fun and exciting to do.
Our son is thriving under her care, so many people have commented how well he speaks for his age. And it’s clear how much thought and love she puts into everything she does.
It’s such a relief to know our little one is in such capable and caring hands, and we couldn’t recommend Alice and her team more highly!

We started with Alice this year and have been so impressed by her level of care. She is a brilliant childminder who goes above and beyond for the children - our daughter absolutely loves her! There is a wonderful range of equipment and Alice takes the children on fabulous days out - we feel very lucky to have found her!
