My Requirements

Honestly, this is probably the best job listing on Childcare.co.uk. It's kind of a "beach job". We are pretty organized as a family, but if it's a nice weekend we'll take it off and go surfing in Cornwall or Devon.

My daughter Nicole is 10-years-old. Your main job is to be her nanny. Take her to some activities on weekends, make sure she has finished her homework, and sometimes feed the dog. You should be able to boil pasta in copious amounts. Initiative is also ok, if you want to go to a play or an exhibition, just let me know and I will pay for it.

The single most important requirement is that you are honest. If you aren't a positive role-model for a child, don't bother applying. That goes with the usual caveats, be on time, honest, and hard-working. Nicole is super-active so someone sporty/high-energy is important... or if you've made a New Year's resolution you want to try to keep, and you think you can survive a weekend of gymnastics, judo, robotics and Brazilian jiujitsu, give it a shot.

This is strictly a weekend position. Possibly pick-ups after school on Friday as well. Hours are 13:00 - 20:00 Saturday and 12:30 - 20:00 on Sunday. Those are approximate timetables.

There is a recent addition of if you can get her in to reading/grammar/vocabulary/spelling, that would be great. As a suggestion, if you are a university student, feel free to bring your own assignments to do here while she also does her homework (only for an hour or two).

Speaking Spanish is a big plus, or being Spanish, but not necessary for the right candidate.
