Hi, I’m Sophie, a 22-year-old Children’s and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner. I previously worked as a PE teacher, which gave me valuable experience in childcare and working closely with young people. I consider myself highly knowledgeable when it comes to supporting children and responding appropriately in a variety of situations.
In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my family when I can, and catching up with friends. I’m friendly, reliable, patient, and trustworthy—qualities I believe are essential in the childcare industry. I’m also motivated to earn some extra income, especially in this economy!
My Experience
I have grown up with children my whole life due to my mother being a childminder since i was a child. After turning 16, i worked with her as a Childcare Assistant until i went to university so i have lots of experience with children. I have also grown up with 3 younger brothers which i also think has an impact on my experience with children. I have a full UK driving license and my own car so transport wouldn’t be a problem and also have an enhanced DBS. I also completed 2 weeks work experience in an Infant School for part of my college course. I also hold Certificates in First Aid Essentials, Paediatric First Aid Trained, Child Protection in Sport and Active Leisure, An Introduction to Safety in Clubs, Food Hygiene and Safety, Level 3 Safeguarding and Prevent duty certificate
My Qualifications
I have 6 GCSE’s including Maths, English and Science. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Sport. As well as a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Psychology at an Upper Secondary Class Honours. I also have my Level 2 in Counselling Skills.
My Availability
My current full time position is Flexi so my availability can vary but evenings I am always available and daytime depending on notice, weekends I am not usually available.
