About Me

Chinese mum and French dad living in De Beauvoir Town. We are both professionals and have a 3 year old boy who is starting school and will have a newborn in September 2024.

To start in mid January 2025 - part time for a few months and then shifting to full time in April/May 2024, though we can be flexible for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who:
- is well spoken, ideally with fluent Mandarin Chinese or French
- has an educational background in child development, and can apply learnings to our children’s intellectual and physical development
- has practical experience in childcare - prior nannying or as a preschool teacher is a plus
- is tidy and respectful
- bonuses (not essential): available for after hours babysitting

The role is to:
- care for our baby (around 4 months by the start date for the role) and toddler (in the mornings and after school)
- cook healthy, varied meals for the children
- carry out light household tasks (washing dishes, unloading dishwasher, dry cleaning/post office drop offs and tidying), however we have a cleaner who comes once a week and the primary focus of this role is to care for the children
- proactively organise sports (including swimming), music, French/Chinese classes, play dates, trips to the museum etc
- help with bathtime and putting children to bed

Ideal hours would be 7.30am - 7pm Monday to Friday though this is negotiable
+ evening babysitting opportunities, usually 2-3 times a month
