My Experience

I have worked primarily in retail management and within the education sector as an officer for an awarding body. Both roles have allowed me an opportunity to understand people’s differences and specifically the ways we learn in order to have the most effective outcome.

I believe that every person/child is unique, shaped by the choices we make and the experiences they bring. I continued to study after school part time to achieve my A-Levels and eventually BSc in Psychology. This pathway enabled me to explore various avenues and has bought about a passion to be a driving force in the creative motivation children develop for their own learning.

Over the years I have given childcare to my two nieces and nephews providing consistent and regular care over a given period in their early years. I am inspired by how many children’s lives my mother has been an influence in through her management of playgroups and a university creche.

I am passionate about utilising the skills, qualifications and life experiences I have gained to work closely with parents to help children through their journey of learning and development at a pace and style effective for them.

My Qualifications

Level 3 Homebased Childcare Award
BSc Psychology (including child development and Autism)
Foundation training ‘Caring for ages 0-12’
Paediatric first aid training
Nutrition 1 Healthy eating in early years and why it matters
Teaching and learning in the early years
Understanding children’s behaviour
Working with parents
I am constantly working on CPD keeping uptodate with legislation and LEA through webinars and communication.

My Availability

Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm year round except annual leave

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour
